"I have spent several decades working for large IT corporations from building servers
to Chief Architect. During my career, I have solutioned on lots of deals and proposals
from £50K to £800M TCV. It has always been my belief that the costing and consequently
pricing could be a lot better and faster. Clients expect proposals to be turned around
in ever shorter timeframes which introduces ever greater risk. In an effort to alleviate
some of the risk I have put together 2 cost models. One is free and targeted at business
case scenarios although nothing prevents other use cases."
Excel Model
"The free model is an MS Excel template you can download. It uses VBA to make it easier
to size the model to your requirements. As mentioned above it targets business cases and
simple modelling requirements. It is basic as my time is being spent on the online model,
but could save a team some time"
Online Model
"The online model is being developed and will be subscription based, with options to buy.
Right now if you find this site online, it's temporary and part of the development process.
It has taken a lot longer than envisaged. I had hoped AI/LLMs could speed this significantly
and while AI has helped it has not provided the time reduction hoped.
Should a business want to hire me to run a team to accelerate this, I am open to offers."
